Airbnb Garage was a proposal shared with Joe before he left Airbnb to launch Samara as a new company in 2022.

The underlying question was: what if Airbnb hosted garages?

Computer companies are building wheels for their computers. Car companies are building computers for their cars. Self-driving technology is the obvious answer. But how it’s deployed is the longer question.

Tomorrow’s platforms will be open source and decentralized. Anyone looking to produce offerings in this space must inherently cater to a mobile community. In order to support these new networks, interoperability needs to be built in, wholly integrated, and modular.


Responsibilities

Industrial design, 3D modeling/visualization
